Getting YRG orange freak on...
Our original plan for the shoot was to take place during the day near a local mountain preserve in Phoenix Arizona. While searching for a stage and other miscellaneous materials we found this craziness, a plein air painting studio behind Conspire, a local downtown Phoenix coffee shop. We almost cried it looked so good and quickly changed our location plans. It was an ideal partially prefabricated YRG experience waiting to go down. All we needed was some orange balloons and for night to fall. Once that happened, it was a neighborhood freak fest. The locals came out in full fury, participating in our bizarre fantasy. YRG is all about building relationships with our greater community. Thanks to John Sagasta owner of Conspire Coffee for allowing us to work in the back and Michael David Little for prefab set design. We also want to give a shout out to all the locals from the Roosevelt row neighborhood. We can’t thank them enough for helping out. Here are a few shots of the work in process.
